Welcome to QSI International School of Shenzhen. Since opening in 2001, QSI Shenzhen has served expatriate families in Shenzhen and the surrounding area as a non-profit, co-educational school for students from 2 years old through Secondary graduation. Our goal is to help every student grow academically, socially, and personally so they are well prepared for the next step in their education, including acceptance into international English-speaking universities around the world. We are proud to be fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges in the United States.
One of the strengths of our school is our caring and dedicated faculty. They bring strong professional experience, subject knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed. At QSI, we combine academic rigor with a performance-based Mastery Learning approach. This means students are expected to master important concepts and skills before moving forward, with time used as a resource rather than a limitation. We believe this approach helps students build confidence, develop perseverance, and take ownership of their learning.
Just as important, we are committed to educating the whole child. Alongside academics, we intentionally teach and model QSI’s Success Orientations: Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Aesthetic Appreciation, Concern for Others, Kindness and Politeness, Independent Endeavor, and Group Interaction. These qualities are an important part of who we are as a school community, and they help our students develop the character, habits, and mindset needed to become positive global citizens.
Our students take part in a well-rounded academic program that includes core subjects such as Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Cultural Studies, and Science. We also offer a wide range of specialist courses and electives, including Art, Music, Physical Education, Computer Technology, and foreign languages. Beyond the regular school day, students have opportunities to participate in after-school activities, athletics, and other experiences that enrich school life. At the Secondary level, students may also access Advanced Placement (AP) courses and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, both of which provide challenging pathways toward graduation and preparation for university study.
